PistolPete was born and raised in the Lone Star State. He has lived in the ill-Country his entire life and been all over Texas from Lubbock to Luchenbach...boy, I tell you what. It is here where he experienced the joys of growing up in the South (e.g. sex, drugs, & rock'n roll...yeehaw!) In Austin, Pete met music-producer Stranger (a.k.a. illy-Jack) and the two made plans to record experimental songs using elements of HipHop, Country and Blues. The collection is to be called ill-Country and the first installment is due for release sometime in 2008. Those close to the project say it is like "a mix between Willie Nelson and Wu-Tang?"

Pete is a pick-up man...only drives a Chevy truck (fu** a Ford). He loves rap, money, cinnamon rolls, Momma, and his long-back mullett. Hank Jr., Earl Campbell, D.A.C., Johnny Cash and John Wayne are a few of his heroes. Whiskey, wacky-tobaccy, and women are a few of his weaknesses. As a youth Pete ran through the lavender trails...as a man he ran through tail with the sweet scent of soft lavender perfume. When he and Stranger aren't trying pick up women (or a fight) at the local saloon, Pete is known to tag his name on trains, dumpsters in parking-lots, phone-poles, fences, walls, and signs. He is a walking-contradiction, social-misfit, habitual party-crasher, honky-tonk rocker, emcee-battler, two-stepper, momma's-boy, and sports-fanatic-Cowboys, Longhorns, Mavericks...(he has even been spotted playing hoops @ the local church). In the Summer, Pete & the ladies can be seen floating the Guadalupe River with some cold-ones in hand. Look for Pete somewhere down on Sixth Street raising hell with the fellas at Austin's South By Southwest music festival every Spring.

So make a trip to the ill-Country and stop by one of Austin's honky-tonks for a famous PistolPete show, you won't be disappointed. Who knows, Pete and Stranger may even come to your town to play a show with MarkSpits & Friends. Also, don't forget to check out for Pete's debut album ill-Country coming in 2008. For those who love hiphop, we salute you!
